... Sometimes this means listening to people’s stories, then writing something to describe and honour a life. At other times it might mean I help those who’d like to contribute to speak for themselves; my role is up to you.
My training was detailed and rigorous, my experience has been extremely varied. Both have equipped me to conduct imaginative, well-structured funerals. I'll also always be clear and down-to-earth with you; I’ve earned a living from writing all my life and have plenty of public speaking experience.
As well as the simple rawness of grief, bereavement can bring complicated, confusing feelings, and clearly a long life well lived is celebrated in a different atmosphere from a young one cut short.
Whatever the circumstances, a fitting ceremony which just feels right is a valuable experience for everyone. That’s the kind of funeral which, with your help, I aim to create.
